I just receivd this email from a patron and wanted to share it with you because of the great things he says about staff and the great customer service you give - it is all well-deserved!

"I have been a patron at the Lane Library for well over sixty years (probably closer to seventy than sixty (:>)).
I have thoroughly enjoyed my extensive use of the library and have always been treated well by the staff.
Just recently, I had occasion to reflect on the service you good people provide. I recently ordered a couple of books held for me and picked them up today. I had neglected to take my list of the two books (one from Hamilton and the other from Fairfield) and yet the young gentleman at Fairfield scanned my card and laid his hands on the book promptly. Excellent service.
At Hamilton, a young lady at the drive-up window told me the book was being held upstairs. Even though it was quite inconvenient for her she volunteered to run upstairs and get it for me so I wouldn't have to park the car and get out in the bad weather. A truly nice gesture from a very nice lady.
I would like to express my thanks to all of the staff who have helped me over the years. We often take that sort of thing for granted. I, for one, much appreciate that fine service. I know that you folks are feeling the economic crunch and have no doubt had to reduce staff somewhat. Hopefully, things will get back to normal quickly."
